About Voice Over Herald

Voice Over Herald is a news site for people who work with the spoken word: voice actors, narrators, dubbing artists, casting directors, producers and the studios and agencies around them. It has reported on the industry since 2013, and it publishes every day, in English and in Spanish.

How we work

Every story names its sources and links to them where they are public. Quotations are verbatim from something we have read or heard; we do not paraphrase into quotation marks. When a story rests on a document, a contract or a law, we read the document. When we get something wrong, we correct it in the article and say so.

Voice Over Herald is published by the team behind The Voice Realm, the online voice casting marketplace. The two are run separately, and any story that touches the marketplace says so at the foot of the article.

Questions we get asked

How do I get my news on the site?

Send it through the contribute page. We are interested in casting announcements, contract and union news, studio and technology launches, awards, and deaths and tributes in the profession. A story has to be news for the voice acting community, not a promotion; if it is one, we will tell you, and we may still cover the news inside it.

I have a story idea, or I want to write for you.
