    I have found the most wonderful free app that has a really terrific “punch and roll” feature that is perfect for audiobook narration. It is Presonus’ Studio 1. There is also a device now on the market now that makes the process of editing as you are narrating so much easier. It is hockey puck shaped and mouse-like with a dial in the middle so that you can dial your playhead back to before a mistake and then buttons around the perimeter to pause, play, undo, whatever you program them to do. It’s called ShuttleXpress by Contour.
